‘Condoleezza! This is Hamas. You must deal with us now’

By Nidal al-Mughrabi, Gaza
A MASKED Hamas fighter sat down at Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’s desk yesterday and declared an end to the Western-backed authority in the Gaza Strip — in an imaginary telephone call to the United States.

“Hello Condoleezza Rice. You have to deal with me now, there is no Abu Mazen (Abbas) anymore,” the fighter from the Islamist movement’s armed wing Izz el-Deen al-Qassam joked as he spoke into the telephone on Abbas’s desk.

Following days of factional violence in which well over 100 Palestinians have been killed, Gaza is, in effect, a new, schismatic statelet under Hamas control.

More fighting, misery and a never ending tales of woe from the Occupied Territories of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.

Ask yourself who benefits from getting HAMAS and FATAH to be at each other's throats, engaging in deadly street battles where only Palestinians get shot, wounded and killed? Certainly not the indigenous Palestinians.

The only ones who benefit from this carnage are ISRAEL and the UNITED STATES. They can both sit back, have a good laugh and toast their success at helping launch another Palestinian debacle. That way, ISRAEL benefits by having the Palestinians do the killings normally committed by the IOF and the UNITED STATES gets to claim that their presence as an "honest broker" is sorely needed in Palestine and the Middle East.

And the Zionist dominated media sells these lies to the gullible American public hook, line and sinker.
