Getting Taxed to Death?

Let me tell you how it will be;
There's one for you, nineteen for me.
'Cause Im the taxman,
Yeah, Im the taxman.

Should five per cent appear too small,
Be thankful I don't take it all.
'Cause Im the taxman,
Yeah, Im the taxman.

(if you drive a car, car;) - Ill tax the street;
(if you try to sit, sit;) - Ill tax your seat;
(if you get too cold, cold;) - Ill tax the heat;
(if you take a walk, walk;) - I'll tax your feet.

Taxman!

'Cause Im the taxman,
Yeah, Im the taxman.

Don't ask me what I want it for, (ah-ah, mister Wilson)
If you don't want to pay some more. (ah-ah, mister heath)
'Cause Im the taxman,
Yeah, Im the taxman.

Now my advice for those who die, (taxman)
Declare the pennies on your eyes. (taxman)
'Cause Im the taxman,
Yeah, Im the taxman.

And you're working for no one but me.

Taxman!

The latest increase raises federal obligations to a record $546,668 per household in 2008, according to the USA TODAY analysis. That's quadruple what the average U.S. household owes for all mortgages, car loans, credit cards and other debt combined.

Bottom line: The government took on $6.8 trillion in new obligations in 2008, pushing the total owed to a record $63.8 trillion

Maybe if the feds could rein in their own lifestyles of the rich and famous, by not spending $57,000 dollars on gold-embossed playing cards for Air Force Two, we wouldn't be spending our grandkids future.

  2. Over a half million per household 'owed' huh. Not only can't I pay it but I don't owe it. We didn't agree to this and we have no representatives for the peoples interests. I don't legitimately owe any interest or principle to the Federal Reserve nor does anyone else. I don't owe a dime for the illegal wars, 'foreign' aid and the American empire.

    The government does owe us what we paid for.

    from the USA today article you linked:

    "Congress can reduce or increase the burden by changing laws that determine taxes and benefits for programs such as Medicare and Social Security."

    This is probably where we are headed, more taxes and reduced benefits, if any at all, for what we paid for every working week of our lives.

    I see two options; reduce the federal government to only its constitutional mandates, maybe 20% of what it is now,
    or the states secede and go it on their own or in regional groups.

    Neither of these options will go over very well with the elite agenda.
