How would you like a $5,000 pay increase, even though you've done a shitty job?

And that's about what the perfumed princes and princesses of the US Congress will receive in 2011, an automatic pay increase UNLESS they vote it down. Hasn't happened before, won't happen now.

Barely 10% of the US House has signed on to this logical act, but don't expect it to pass. The pigs in Congress have been sucking money out of our pockets so long, they're like a junkie getting a fix and if you've ever been around junkies, you know not to get between a junkie and his fix, in this case, the syringe is filled with tax dollars to support these gluttons.

Speaker of the House Pelosi celebrates the latest pay raise
It will be shunted off to some lonely committee and die a slow death, just like the other bills that tried the same in previous years.

$5,000 a year is one helluva raise, especially considering that many no longer have a job.

Stop the Automatic Pay Raise for Members of Congress in Fiscal Year 2011 Act (Introduced in House)HR 4255

For purposes of the provision of law amended by section 704(a)(2)(B) of the Ethics Reform Act of 1989 (5 U.S.C. 5318 note), no adjustment under section 5303 of title 5, United States Code, shall be considered to have taken effect in fiscal year 2011 in the rates of pay under the General Schedule.

That's our Congress, always looking out for We the People, like this bit of special legislation that will force some to choose between buying needed meds and paying the rent.

Senate Rejects Drug Importation Amendment, Protects the Secret PhRMA Deal

The Senate last night voted down an amendment that would have allowed American to buy FDA-approved prescription drugs from overseas, where prices are usually much lower. If it had passed and been added to the Senate health care bill, it has been estimated to save consumers $80 billion on drugs over the next ten years and the government $19 billion over the same period.

Now it's on to Iran to destroy another ME country that is NO danger to us, but which Israel wants exterminated.

That's our Congress, always looking out for 'We the People.'
