BO's just blowing hot air and smoke up your ass, trying to appear presidential. NOTHING will come out of the Justice Department investigation into sky-high gasoline prices, since Wall Street legalized this brazen theft back in 2000, when they had their congressional bitches change the commodities law so We the People could be screwed fair and square.
A law legalizing theft that was signed in late December, just like that other law legalizing counterfeiting by creating the not so Federal Reserve was signed into law in December 1913.
The Commodity Futures Modernization Act of 2000 (CFMA) is United States federal legislation that officially ensured the deregulation of financial products known as over-the-counter derivatives. It clarified the law so that most over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives transactions between “sophisticated parties” would not be regulated as “futures” under the Commodity Exchange Act of 1936 (CEA) or as “securities” under the federal securities laws. Instead, the major dealers of those products (banks and securities firms) would continue to have their dealings in OTC derivatives supervised by their federal regulators under general “safety and soundness” standards. The Commodity Futures Trading Commission's desire to have “Functional regulation” of the market was also rejected. Instead, the CFTC would continue to do “entity-based supervision of OTC derivatives dealers.” These derivatives, especially the credit default swap, would be at the heart of the financial crisis of 2008 and the subsequent recession.Who were the major players pushing this legalized looting of America?
Three 'Chosen Ones,' Treasury's Lawrence Summers; the Fed's Alan Greenspan and Arthur Levitt of the SEC.
Even though there's a glut of crude oil on the market, Wall Street hoodlums are picking our pockets dry, thanks to their control of Congress.
Wall Street has been getting free money from that other gangster outfit, the Federal Reserve and using some of it to jazz up the stock market, hoping the hot action will lure back the suckers to their game of 'Three Card Monte,' but many people don't have any money to invest/lose and others have been burned by Wall Street con games and don't plan on returning, so the blood-sucking thieves of Wall Street will keep manipulating the market to steal what little we have left thru gasoline sales.
