The Obama administration set new, largely symbolic, sanctions Friday on Syria's state-run oil company and the Hezbollah militant group, moves designed to underscore Iran's key role in propping up the Syrian regime over the span of its civil war.
State Department spokesman Patrick Ventrell said the penalties against energy firm Sytrol come after it delivered $36 million worth of gasoline to Iran in April. At the same time, Tehran was "actively advising, supplying, and assisting the Syrian security forces and regime-backed militias that are carrying out gross human rights abuses against the Syrian people."
Meanwhile, the Treasury Department targeted Hezbollah for "training, advice and extensive logistical support to the government of Syria's increasingly ruthless efforts to fight against the opposition." It also blamed the Lebanese Shiite militant group for coordinating Iranian assistance to the Syrian government.
Neither action will change Americans' behavior much. Americans have been banned from doing business with Hezbollah since the U.S. declared it a foreign terrorist organization in the 1990s.
Sytrol had mostly exported to the European Union, but the bloc also declared an embargo against Syrian oil last year.
"Hezbollah's extensive support to the Syrian government's violent suppression of the Syrian people exposes the true nature of this terrorist organization and its destabilizing presence in the region," the Treasury Department's sanctions chief, David S. Cohen, said.
Asked what the latest U.S. action against Hezbollah might accomplish, the State Department's counterterrorism coordinator, Daniel Benjamin, said he hoped it would lead other countries to follow suit. "That would limit the amount of space for Hezbollah to operate in," he told reporters in a telephone briefing.
The United States and its Western allies are stopping short of providing lethal assistance to the opposition, but it has become an open secret that several Arab countries are supplying weapons and ammunition.

Nayirah Testimony refers to the controversial testimony given before the non-governmental Congressional Human Rights Caucus on October 10, 1990, by a female who provided only her first name, Nayirah. In her emotional testimony, Nayirah stated that after the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait she had witnessed Iraqi soldiers take babies out of incubators in a Kuwaiti hospital, take the incubators, and leave the babies to die. Her story was initially corroborated by Amnesty International and testimony from evacuees. Following the liberation of Kuwait, reporters were given access to the country and found the story of stolen incubators unsubstantiated. However, they did find that a number of people, including babies, died when nurses and doctors fled the country.
In 1992, it was revealed that Nayirah's last name was al-Ṣabaḥ and that she was the daughter of Saud bin Nasir Al-Sabah, the Kuwaiti ambassador to the United States. Furthermore, it was revealed that her testimony was organized as part of the Citizens for a Free Kuwait public relations campaign which was run by Hill & Knowlton for the Kuwaiti government. Following this, al-Sabah's testimony has largely come to be regarded as wartime propaganda.

French President Nicolas Sarkozy's spy chief says a gunman who killed three young children and a rabbi at a Jewish school only attacked the school after missing his original target — a French soldier.
Ange Mancini, Sarkozy's intelligence adviser, said on French TV that Mohamed Merah had wanted to kill a soldier he had targeted Monday in Toulouse, but arrived too late and instead besieged a nearby Jewish school.
Mancini told France-24 TV on Friday that "it wasn't the school that he wanted to attack," calling school shooting "opportunistic."
The official said when Merah was under surveillance last year, he was not seen contacting any radicals and went to nightclubs, not mosques.

The United States has offered a $10 million bounty for the founder of the Pakistani militant group blamed for the 2008 attacks in the Indian city of Mumbai that killed 166 people, a move that could complicate U.S.-Pakistan relations at a tense time.
Hafiz Saeed founded Lashkar-e-Taiba in the 1980s, allegedly with Pakistani support to pressure archenemy India over the disputed territory of Kashmir. Pakistan banned the group in 2002 under pressure from the U.S. but has done little to crack down on its activities.
Saeed operates openly in the country, giving public speeches and appearing on TV talk shows. The U.S. also offered up to $2 million for Lashkar-e-Taiba's deputy leader, Hafiz Abdul Rahman Makki.
The bounties were posted on the U.S. State Department Rewards for Justice website late Monday, the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad said Tuesday.
The reward for Saeed is one of the highest offered by the program and is equal to the amount for Taliban chief Mullah Omar. Only Ayman al-Zawahri, who succeeded Osama bin Laden as al Qaeda chief, fetches a higher, $25 million bounty.

As Romney put it late last year, if the U.S. doesn't pump up its shipbuilding budget, China will soon be "brushing aside an inferior American Navy in the Pacific." This must be news to former Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, who noted in a May 2010 speech to the Navy League that the fleet is larger than the next 13 navies combined -- 11 of which, by the way, belong to U.S. allies. As for the Chinese challenge, much has been made of China's new aircraft carrier, which actually turns out to be a refurbished vessel purchased from Ukraine in 1998 and originally intended to be a floating casino. It would leave the U.S. with only an 11 to 1 advantage in this category.

On the March 9, 2012 segment of "Real Time with Bill Maher," Billy Boy posed the wrong question to Israel Ambassador Michael Oren.
Several minutes into this video, when Oren is making the case for bombing Iran, Maher asks about the killing of all those Iranian nuclear scientists and who was behind that, Norway?
The camera pans to Oren, who doesn't answer, but gives Maher a hateful look before the camera person, realizing that type of question isn't appropriate to ask a 'Chosen One,' pans back to Maher after only showing Oren's face for about two seconds.
Maher also asked 'Mikey' about that Stuxnet computer virus that someone sent to fuck up the Iranian computers that are working on building Iran's nuclear energy powered reactors, and again, Oren refuses to answer...Is that because Stuxnet might have also slipped into Japan's nuclear energy program last March and severely compounded the Fukushima nuke disaster?

But they didn't say anything about the brothel available to the workers, nor the 16 orchestras, nor the excellent health care facilities, which started coming undone towards the end of WWII, since Germany didn't have enough food and meds for their troops, their people, nor the slave labor camp inmates, which naturally led to diseases like Typhus spreading like an out of control fire, killing many. Yes, the Typhus victims were burned, since that was the only way to stop the disease from spreading. The Germans discovered that if you just buried the deceased, the ground water became contaminated causing infections among the German staff and spreading the Typhus even further.
Nor was anything said about the camp's theaters or art classes, nor the extensive library, swimming pool and sports facilities.
If Hitler was going to kill all Auschwitz Jewish inmates, then why bother with providing them with such fine amenities?

What got my attention was that the narrator said that 2 million Jews were killed at Auschwitz???
How many decades has the world been told that four million Jews were killed at Auschwitz? Except that number was changed to 2.5 million in the 1990's, after the USSR fell and historians were allowed access to date collected during the course of WWII.
And the number dropped even further a few years ago, when the Israeli newspaper Ha'aretz published an article stating that a little over one million died at Auschwitz, and that number included political dissidents, gypsies, criminals and others.
If my math is correct, when one subtracts three million from six million, you come up with the figure of three million, a number that the dedicated protectors of the lies surrounding "The Holocaust™" ignore, since it shows their version of what happened to Jews during WWII to be a fabrication. And if they can't use "The Holocaust™" like a shield and a club, Israel probably would have never been stolen from the indigenous Palestinians and the world's #1 terror state, the master of the FALSE FLAG, would not have come into existence, nor would it cry "Never Again" when someone starts looking up the REAL facts behind the Zionist curtain of lies.
