Congress illegally funding Israeli Nuclear Weapons

Why is all aid to Israel is not illegal, since foreign aid legislation from 1977 clearly bars funds to any country that secretly develops nuclear weapons. Adopted 1977. Sec. 102(b) of the Arms Export Control Act, formerly Sec. 670 of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 as amended. Prohibits U.S. foreign assistance to any non-nuclear-weapon state (as defined by the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty) that, among other things, detonates a nuclear explosive device. President Bill Clinton imposed Glenn amendment sanctions against India on May 13, 1998, two days after New Delhi broke its self-imposed 24-year moratorium on nuclear testing. On May 30, 1998, Clinton invoked similar sanctions against Pakistan, following Islamabad's six nuclear tests on May 28 and 30. Unarguable evidence of Israel's nuclear program is widely accepted , yet rarely discussed.
There has been overwhelming evidence of such violation have taken place by the Israeli government , but they receive an overwhelmingly large portion of total foreign aid from the United States. Why is the United States taking such a hypocritical position on this matter?
According to Congressman Brian Baird 3rd District, Washington , "Israeli government has refused to confirm or deny the existence of a nuclear weapons program. As a result, the requirements for Sections 102(b) of the Arms Control Export Act have not been met and sanctions have not been involved. "

One example of this is the Federation of American Scientists:
As early as 8 December 1960, the CIA issued a report outlining Dimona's implications for nuclear proliferation, and the CIA station in Tel Aviv had determined by the mid-1960s that the Israeli nuclear weapons program was an established and irreversible fact.
United States inspectors visited Dimona seven times during the 1960s, but they were unable to obtain an accurate picture of the activities carried out there, largely due to tight Israeli control over the timing and agenda of the visits. The Israelis went so far as to install false control room panels and to brick over elevators and hallways that accessed certain areas of the facility. The inspectors were able to report that there was no clear scientific research or civilian nuclear power program justifying such a large reactor. Walworth Barbour, US ambassador to Israel from 1961-73, the bomb program's crucial years, primarily saw his job as being to insulate the President from facts which might compel him to act on the nuclear issue, allegedly saying at one point that "The President did not send me there to give him problems. He does not want to be told any bad news." After the 1967 war, Barbour even put a stop to military attach├ęs' intelligence collection efforts around Dimona.

As the ENTIRE world knows, Israel has a robust nuclear weapons program, one that has allowed the Zionist regime to construct between 300-500 nuclear weapons.
Many of Israel's nuclear warheads are targeted on Iran, including new, nuclear-armed, U.S.-supplied Tomahawk cruise missiles on its Dolphin-class submarines in the Indian Ocean. And it also possesses chemical and biological weapons.

The entire world knows Israel has nuclear weapons, except for that little patch of mendacity, greed and stupidity: the U.S. Congress.

Congress gleefully remains at Israel's beck and call, always ready to fork over more of OUR tax dollars to the criminal Zionist regime.
At the same time billions of tax dollars are being shoveled to Israel, the U.S. infrastructure is falling apart, literally, at the seams.

A country that has proven stocks of WMD's; a country that has engaged in numerous acts of terrorism; a country that has invaded its neighbors and is threatening to invade again and a country that is engaged in ethnic cleansing/genocidal treatment of its indigenous peoples.

Those are the same reasons the U.S. decided to invade and occupy Iraq. So why isn't the U.S. sending B-2's and the 101st Airborne to bring "Shock and Awe" to Tel Aviv?
